The store
Edibleflower.ca is the online storefront of Heirloom Acres NOTL, a three-acre farm in Niagara-on-the-Lake growing edible flowers using no-till, no-spray regenerative methods from heirloom seed. It sells to home cooks across Canada, to local restaurants, and to event and wedding clients.
Fresh edible flowers — calendula, cornflower, nasturtium, pansy, viola, dahlia, marigold and more — plus pressed and dried flowers and plating tools.
The customer questions
This is the most product-question-heavy store of the six by a wide margin: 558 of 647 conversations were about the flowers themselves. That follows from the catalogue — a shopper who does not recognise nasturtium or nigella, or does not know which blooms are in season, will not add them to a cart. Layered on top is an unusually rigid delivery model: orders ship Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday only, transit runs 24 to 72 hours from harvest, delivery dates are explicitly not guaranteed, and returns are not accepted at all because the product is perishable. For a wedding client counting backwards from Saturday, timing is the entire purchase decision.
Recorded topic counts to 25 August 2026. A conversation may have more than one topic; this is not a mutually exclusive breakdown.
Why the question mix fits
The bottleneck sat at the moment of choosing. Product knowledge and seasonal availability had to be answerable inline, at the point the shopper is deciding, rather than in an email exchange over the following days.
This is Convi’s interpretation of the measured question mix and the store’s published information. It is not an account of the merchant’s internal decision-making.
From setup to live conversations
The recorded knowledge base contained 30 entries in the measurement snapshot.
The measured results
98.9% of 647 conversations resolved without a human handover. Product and catalogue questions accounted for 558 of them, with shipping second at 73 — a mix unlike any other store here, and one that matches a catalogue where the main barrier is knowing what the product is. Seven conversations were escalated to a person.

The next area of focus
The catalogue knowledge base is refreshed each season as different varieties come into bloom.
Measured from Convi production data to 25 August 2026. Active stores with at least 50 conversations; internal test shops and sandbox traffic excluded. “Resolved without a handover” means the conversation closed without escalation to a human agent. Order attribution is assisted attribution — Convi is credited with influencing the order, not with being its sole cause.
This story uses historical data measured to 25 August 2026. It is a Convi analysis, not a merchant testimonial. A conversation closing without handover does not independently establish customer satisfaction.
